Chris has over 11 years of experience working in U.A.E. youth football after playing professionally in England for Crewe Alexandra coming through their famed Youth Academy, playing against household names including Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen & Joe Cole.

Chris started coaching after he was forced to retire from the game through injury and is now a UEFA A license coach which he achieved through the English Football Association after completing UEFA B license with the Professional Footballers Association.

After moving to Dubai in 2004 and achieving recognition in his coaching role with E-Sports, Chris joined the newly opened JA Centre of Excellence as an Academy coach and was an influential figure in helping to kickstart the JA Umbro Youth Academy under the guidance of then Academy Manager, Mick Leonard.

Chris then went on to establish the Jebel Ali Youth League in 2007 and in 2008 he took over from Mick Leonard as the Academy Manager for the JA Centre of Excellence. From here the Umbro Youth Academy really began to flourish under his control with the newly introduced Advanced squads and his innovative ideas on youth development.

Chris' role as Academy Manager also included the day to day running of the JA Centre of Excellence which involved facilitating some of the biggest football clubs in the world for warm weather training camps, running English F.A. Coach Education Courses and being involved with organising some of the most prestigious concerts, events, tournaments and competitions in the U.A.E.

In 2013 the opportunity arose for Chris to set up 'It’s Just FOOTBALL' ultimately replacing the former Umbro Youth Academy but continuing to base itself at the JA Centre of Excellence facility with a vision to look further afield and to expand into other venues within the region.

With Chris' experience, passion and technical knowledge in the field of youth football, event and training camp organisation, Its Just FOOTBALL is on a successful path under his leadership

Chris credits both Dario Gradi, one of the most respected coaches in the game, and Steve Holland (currently 1st team coach for Chelsea F.C.) as the biggest influences on his coaching career.

Chris Brown's philosophy on youth development is to encourage and ensure that players are comfortable in possession of the ball by working on their receiving skills and movement off the ball.
From there every player has a strong
platform to build upon in order to improve their all round game.
